It starts with a dream, a vision.
DuxburyPRIDE is
a 501(c) non-profit corporation managing the fund raising and project
coordination for the construction of two multi-purpose synthetic
turf fields.
DuxburyPRIDE fundraising efforts are focused on the
following:
- Accelerating the time to commence field construction.
- Enhancing the experience of Duxbury's Lacrosse, Soccer, Football,
and Field Hockey programs--from youth programs through high school.
- Increasing the safety for our student-athletes of all ages by installing
state-of-the art synthetic turf with crumb rubber which creates a
higher shock absorbency rating than grass.
- Reducing town expenses by lowering the total costs of field maintenance.
- Creating a "New" standard of field use, availability and scheduling
for Duxbury Recreation.
- Creating "environmentally friendly" athletic fields as an alternative
to natural grass.
